The Gladiators fue uno de los grupos más populares de Jamaica en la decada de los '70 formada por Albert Griffiths, Clinton Fearon y Gallimore Sutherland, principalmente. "Proverbial Reggae", de 1978, es junto a "Trenchtown Mix Up" (1976), uno de los más reconocidos discos.
