JOHN HOLT - 1000 Volts of Holt (Deluxe Edition)

 

Edición deluxe del 2008 del disco de John Holt "1000 Volts of Holt" (1974), que es considerado como el mejor album de pop/reggae y le dió reconocimiento al artista, incluye, además de los tracks originales, 27 bonus tracks. Entre ellos remezclas y otros tracks no editados hasta la fecha.
Los 12 primeros tracks del disco 1 son los originales, y el resto son remezclas. Los tracks del segundo disco son todos escritos por Holt excepto "I Played The Fool" y los covers. Los 39 tracks fueron remasterizadas digitalmente.

Hopeton Brown aka Scientist fue discipulo de King Tubby, uno de los creadores del Dub, con quien empezó a trabajar a mediados de los '70. para la década del '8o ya era reconocido y produjo para una serie de discos todos con una temática particular que lo involucran a él como actor principal.
"Scientist wins the World Cup" es un disco editado originalmente en 1982, considerado una de sus mejores producciones, que en 1997 se reeditó y se le agregaron 6 nuevos tracks a los 10 originales.
